Description

Bear is very powerful Beast. It may break up any people (you, your peasant or enemy) in one hit. But all beasts are neutral, so in general case the bear will not touch you.

The bear will just wander on the map and look for something delicious with the following priority:

  1. Edible contents of your chests. So when the bear wander near your village, it may smell the food in your chests and attack them to arrange a small feast for himself.
  2. Animals. The bear kills nearby animals and eat them. It may also eat meat of animals hunted by your peasants.
  3. The bear may attack people, but only when it's very hungry. So don't get closer to the bear when it have no animals around. And keep in mind, the bear is a neutral unit, so both enemies and allies are just meat for him.

The bear also will attack anybody who attacks it. The bears has a slow attack but deals monstrous damage.

The bears are real potential danger. They will kill animals, that you wanna hunt or breed, they can also attack your people when you don't expect it and raid your food chests. So don't ignore the bears on the map.

Additional mechanics

Northern Barbarians (they comes when you start military campaign to north to achieve Military Game Goal) attacks your village with some bears on their side. When you win them, you get new general bonus: wild bears on the map attack passing enemies with the highest priority.

Druids may lure the bear. The lured bear will attack incoming enemies with the highest priority, but that doesn't mean you're friends.
