== Description ==
Farms are the plant objects on the ground that may be collected for obtaining a pack of basic [[Resources]].

Use {{itemText|img=Farmer.png|name=Farmers|link=Farmer}} to cultivate and collect plants from domestic farms, and harvest wild farm.

== Farm and Seeds collecting ==
You may collect wild farms or seed your own domestic farms and collect them when they growth. New wild farms appear on the map time to time (especially on spring).

You can get your first farm seeds when collect wild farms or just buy them. Seeds also may be produced from farm plants on the [[Seed Extraction Table]].
Tree seedlings can be obtained by completely cutting down a tree (they drop only after [[Forestry]] research).

== Farming ==

To create a domestic farm, select a plant in the farm menu (key F), then choose a location for the plant.
You cannot plant farms in water, on mountains, or in deserts. You can plant on other types of terrain, but with different efficiency (floodplains: 25% more crops, grass: standard, semi-dry grass: 25% less crops). Trees grow with equal efficiency on both lush and semi-dry grass.

Use piercing tools with strong damage and low stamina costs per hit to cultivate the ground and seed a farm. Use slashing tools to harvest crops. Keep in mind, that shovel is much more effective for ground cultivation, but only feudal lord can use it ([[Druids]] are an exception).

Any domestic farm grows for a long time. You can watch grow progress by selecting needed farm or look to the appearance of the farm.
